Verifying if a transaction is real

Verifying if a transaction is real

Let's say we want to add new transactions to new blocks. How can we check if the transactions we see were real?

We can do this by verifying each transaction. If we know only the sending and receiving public keys, the amount, and the signature — voila! We can see if that transaction really took place. Think about it like a kind of reverse engineering.
